What do GUYS like to look at? Makeup/Hair 02/14/2012
As I was walking through school today with a very minimal and natural amount of makeup, guys came up and talked to me. Most of them said "You look so good today!" ...Safe to say I was in utter disbelief. After doing some research and interviewing with some guys, I realized that guys LOVE the more natural looking woman compared to the overdone woman. Most guys love the more natural look on women! Crazy, right? HAIR GUYS LOVE: -Loose braids -fresh out of bed looking hair -loose, sophisticated updo's (not too much hairspray!) -straight/blowout hair -loose curles/ waves -groomed ponytails HAIR MOST MEN CANT STAND: -tight, pulled back hair (severe looking, makes you look unapproachable) -ponytails (unless they have a fetish.......) -oily, unclean hair (men like their womens hair to be shiny and clean, reflecting on her caring for herself) ~Some men though DO prefer more glamorous and less-natural looking hair and makeup. It just depends on the guy!~ If you are going to wear a minimal amount of makeup, pay particular attention to your lips and eyes! Guys want to see luscious lips (not harsh) and eyes to die for (play them up with some curled lashes, a sparkly shadow, and some mascara). Guys also love a clear looking face, which can be cured with some cheap acne creme and moisturizers (look below for a GREAT acne eliminator) AND WELL-AH! Hello my lovely ladies, sorry I have been gona for so long. Cara and I have been busy, busy, busy. Today I am here to tell y'all about and amazing acne system that has literally cleared up my skin in a few days, no joke. Recently I have broken out really bad do to the fact of its around that time of the month(hint hint) and of course I broke out again, like I always do.I finally said enough I was going to try to get it in order, so I went to the grocery store with my mom and picked up Clearisl's acne control kit. This is seriiously amazing my sking looks amazing, it dried up all my spots and significantly reduced the redness. Yes it is $20 but it is well worth the price. The trick to using it is use a lima bean size amount of the facial cleaner, then around a regular pea size amount of the mousurizer, and for the spot treatment a pea size amount on your finger and apply to the areas where you breakout the most not just the spots themselves. Hello, I am the other half to Makeup and Hair by the Pair. I am here to do yet another product review and explain a little more about this blog. Ok first off the review, which it kiss everlast glue on nails. Now I was apprehensive at first when I first bought these, because i had heard that drugstore glue on nails typically aren't that high of quality or last that long. Since they were only $7, I decided screw it I'm going to try them. And I was pleasantly surprised. They are actually really good quality and stay on a long time if you put them on right. A little trick I tried to make them last long was I filed down the top of my actual nail....sounds crazy I know. The reason I did this was because at the nail salon they file down your nail to make the glue bond better, so I figured it could work for these. When you buy the nail kit it come with a small emery board, a cuticle pusher-downer....not sure what it actually called, glue, and of course the nails. First I pushed down the cuticles on all my nails. Then I took the emery board to file the surface of my nails. The emery board has two sides a blue and a pink, the blue side is rougher so I would suggest using that to start off with. After you have used the blue side if there are any spots you missed or any hard to reach spots use the pink side. When you do this step you want to make the whole surface of your nails scuffed up. Next, put a whole bunch of glue on your nail, spread it around evenly, and then press the fake nail on to your nail. Before this step though you should probably find which nail size best fits your nail. When you press the nail on you need hold it firmly down for about 15 seconds, they box says 5 but I would hold it down longer just in case. And ta-da you have beautiful cheap nails that look like they just came from the salon. PRO'S: - they actually last a long time -they look natural because they’re thin, not really thick like the salon ones -you can paint over them just like your own nails, and do your own designs (be sure to use non-acetone based nail polish remover if you take your nail polish off) -affordable -easy to reapply, if they break CON’S: -hurt to take off - You might have to apply the nails a couple times before they stick http://www.kissusa.com/636-8666/Everlasting_French_-_Petites I'm so excited to do a review on this product. I have been using it everyday for the past six months. I absolutely love it! Especially the price (UNDER $5)! This product is definitely WATERPROOF! It stays on until you scrub it off. For someone who has contantly wet eyes, this stuff is worth worshiping. My list of pros and cons are below. PROS: -stays on all day/all night -tiny tube, but has so much product inside! -the price (Undr $5/ I got for under $3 at Wal-Mart) -BOLD color -does not run -great for cateye! CONS: -applicator hard, product tends to get on eyelashes -hard to remove, VERY waterproof -not a great applicator OVERALL: I suggest you get this product! LOVELOVELOVE! 4 STARS! OUR FIRST REVIEW! This is of the E.L.F. – Studio Makeup Mist & Set Spray ($3). Madeline introduced me to this wonderful product. After you put on all of your makeup, you hold the bottle your arm’s length away and spray (twice if you prefer) all over your face! This spray is supposed to help your makeup stay on ALL DAY LONG. Maddie and I both own this product and think it’s great! PROS: -actually does what it is supposed to do, makes your makeup stay longer! -lightweight feel -doesn’t leave splotches (unless you spray too close) -the price is unbeatable…$3!!??!!?? ITS A STEAL! CONS: -the sprayer for this is absolutely horrible. I suggest replacing it -the smell, wonderful (sarcasm).
